If there is one thing that I noticed while playing poker online, especially with all the newbies out there, is that there are a lot of people out there that make bets that have no value to them. Let me give you an example to illustrate.

We will assume in this example that both players have plenty of chips, and that by the river no one is really pot committed 메이저놀이터

Say your dealt, :Ac :Jd

Lets say you bet and you get one call.

Flop comes

:Ad :10d :7s

The turn:

:Jh

The river:

:4c

Now lets assume that the opponent (no matter how you played it) has either checked or called you all the way to the river.

At the river all of the sudden he either bets or comes back over the top of you.

This is where I see a lot of people make a big mistake. There are only a couple of possibilities here. He was either chasing a hand (like the flush) and missed and is trying to make a move to pick up the pot, in wich case you have him beat. Or he hit the straight on the turn and slowplayed it to the river and youre beat.

In this situation I have seen a lot of people come back over the top of the opponent with a large bet (like an all-in) hoping they fold. The problem is that there is NO VALUE in that bet. If the opponent is making a move on the pot and you have him beat, he is going to fold and you will win as much money as you would have with a call. The only way he is going to call this bet is if you are beat, so your throwing more money away.

The only move you should make here is to call or fold. Again there is no value in reraising in this spot.
